Make do it yourself favor labels the quickest and easiest way.

Making do it yourself favor labels is easy enough with a computer and printer but there’s an even easier way that looks fantastic and is inexpensive, too.
Not only that, but once you’ve made your favor labels, you can use this method to add the same great look to other elements of your wedding – menu cards, place cards, wedding stationery, and as many other items as your imagination allows.
The secret method for this great wedding idea is to use a custom embosser or custom stamp. Before we go any further, here’s the technique:
You’ll need:
- Something to stamp or emboss in a size large enough to accommodate the logo.
- For our purposes, the logo will be just slightly smaller than 1.5 inches so we won’t have any problem finding labels that are large enough.
- An inexpensive custom embosser or stamp to make your do it yourself favor labels.
You’ll probably want:
- To use labels with a paper-like surface if you’re using a stamp – the ink doesn’t adhere as well to clear or shiny surfaces.
- To use gold or silver foil labels if you’re using an embosser – the effect is much better on shiny surfaces because the raised lettering casts a darker reflection in the areas of text/design, making the logo much more clear than on paper or clear surfaces.
How to make do it yourself favor labels with embossers and stamps:
Now that you’ve got the materials, everything else is elementary. Alignment is a snap.
For stamps, set the non-inked bottom of the stamp down on the wedding favor label. Simply set the stamp on the label, align as you wish, and push down. Done!
For embossers, the process is similar. You set the embosser down, insert the label between the two circles that will make the imprint, align, and push down. Alignment is very easy.
One tip: when you buy your do it yourself favor labels, try to get them in a strip instead of a big label sheet. This way, you can work faster. If you get a sheet, you’ll have to emboss the labels on the edges and then cut that row of embossed labels away so you can reach the next set of labels with your embosser.
An added benefit to this process is that once you’ve made your do it yourself favor labels, you can use this process on card stock to make a lot of other great do it yourself wedding stationery items and wedding decorations – all while carrying a consistent wedding theme or logo across the different items.
It’s an easy and inexpensive way to make a big difference with the small details.
