Seaside, Florida wedding package - get married in the nicest beach town that you've never heard of.

This snack stand in Seaside is part of the charm that makes it a perfect place for a Florida destination wedding.

Finding a Florida wedding package in any old hotel in Florida is easy. There are nice places, cheap places, beach places, and all sorts of other places. Since we live and work in Florida, we want to show you some of the places that are hidden gems. You can have a Florida destination wedding in settings you never imagined and our other articles on the subject cover many different settings. For this page, we’ll talk about a place that is something like this…

Muted sunlight casts its warmth through a skylight while sunbeams slip through crisp white shutters, gently easing you into the morning. In the distance, the sound of gently rolling surf comforts you with its constant reminder that no matter what happens, it will always be there – to be heard, to be appreciated, to just be there as it always was and always will be.

Listening to the seagulls and the surf, you wonder why every day doesn’t start like this. And after a little coffee and orange juice on your sun-drenched porch, you consciously remember that you left your cares and concerns somewhere and you don’t care if you ever find them again.

Strolling out for a muffin and some strawberries, you make your way to a picture perfect town square, complete with white colonial American buildings with tin roofs surrounding a perfectly manicured lawn.

Softly, coming from seemingly nowhere, a soundtrack of early American jazz plays over hidden speakers and the smell of those muffins draws you to an outdoor café full of people that are as relaxed as you now are. Even though you've only been there for a day, people greet you warmly, as if they've known you forever. You run into a person or two from your group of family or friends and make plans for a relaxing day at the beach as you stare at it from the town square.

While you, your family, and friends relax, the wedding planners at Seaside are scurrying about behind the scenes, coordinating the perfect wedding for you in the perfect setting. If you’ve never heard of Seaside, Florida before, it’s because the people that know about it are keeping it secret – no need to tell everyone about this hidden gem.

Seaside's post office architecture is just another example of a town that forgets no detail. That's part of what makes it perfect for a Florida destination wedding.

If we were looking for a Florida wedding package, this town and the surrounding area are the very first place we would look.

Actually, you may have seen Seaside and didn’t know it. If you saw The Truman Show at the movies a few years ago, you’ve seen it. That picture perfect town by the sea still looks just like that and is still just as well kept as it was then.

If you don't like friendly people, a relaxed, small town atmosphere, picture perfect buildings, cottages, and the beach, then a Florida wedding package at Seaside is not for you. But we're willing to bet that a few minutes strolling around this great town will have you kicking off your shoes, grinning from ear to ear, being kind to strangers, and most of all, not wanting to leave.

If you’ve read our page on Destin, Florida destination weddings, then you know that we think this is one of the nicest warm weather beach areas in the country. Seaside is one of a number of communities to the east of Destin in a unique area of the country that has come to be known among locals simply as “30-A”.

Drawing its nickname from the road that passes along the beach through the towns, the drive through each town will have you pulling out your camera and looking for real estate offices. With names like Grayton Beach, Watercolor, Seaside, and Watersound, each town has a different style of its own – colonial, Cape Cod, southern Europe, teak and pastel – that is unlike any other beach area we’ve seen.

Check the wedding package section of Seaside’s website if you don't believe us, but this town was made for the express purpose of throwing you back in time to a place where the pace is slower, stress is lower, and time together can be savored.

If you decide to get a Florida wedding package there, your family and friends can stay in cottages in the town if they'd like. There are lots of unique houses in different sizes that sleep anywhere from a couple of people to large families. That way, guests can share costs but still have enough privacy to enjoy a few days together. Even if they don’t want to do this, Destin is just a fifteen minute drive away and has every type of accommodation from small hotels to sprawling resorts.

For your wedding events, everything is possible. A Seaside, Florida wedding package includes standard elements that allow you to tailor parts of each one. You can have your rehearsal dinner or bride's luncheon in one of the cottages. If the groomsmen want to have an outing, everything from boating to fishing to golf and more is right nearby. You can have as few as 10 guests or as many as you like. Seaside, Florida wedding packages are thoughtfully put together, cover every detail, and specify every cost very simply.

Their pricing rivals that of any decent hotel for reception expenses. We have two close relatives planning weddings right now and have found that the costs they are paying for hotel receptions are actually more expensive than some of the packages that Seaside offers. If you want to compare costs to those of an all inclusive hotel in the Caribbean, consider this. The extra money you'll pay in airfare to any island will probably exceed the difference in cost between the two.

Seaside's chapel is offers something most destination wedding locations don't - a traditional church wedding in a destination wedding location.

Gourmet food, white linens, and white padded chairs are all part of Seaside's Florida wedding packages. The beautiful chapel you see on this page is one of the wedding ceremony location options, too. That way you can have a traditional church wedding in a destination wedding setting. Very few destination wedding locations offer such an option.

Between the events included in your Seaside, Florida wedding package and all the relaxing you’ll do, you may not have time for anything else. But if you do, whether you go east or west, you’ll have lots of options for every type of vacation activity you would like. For more on that see our page on Destin, Florida destination weddings. Even if you choose not to get a Florida wedding package at Seaside, make plans to visit there and the other areas along 30-A on vacation sometime. Our bet is that, like us, you’ll return again and again and again.
